Meet the Author
K. M. Blackwell has always dabbled in the arts to express herself. From writing, playing the flute, singing, acting, to even dancing (just a bit!), she's always felt most herself and free.
As a child the library was K. M.'s happy place. She was an avid reader and would check out as many books as was allowed. Reading fostered her imagination which eventually lead her to creative writing. She was in elementary school when she wrote her first story. Believe it or not, she still remembers it.
Blackwell was born in Maryland where she still resides with her wonderful family. Her love and pursuit of the arts has allowed her to travel all over the U.S. and Canada. A few of her favorite things include: dogs, jazz, libraries, musicals, lemonade, and a cool breeze on a nice spring evening.
